What to expect at our meetings.
Cafe meetings.
These are smaller informal gatherings. We are fortunate to have two local care homes hosting these meetings. The meetings last approximately an hour and are an opportunity for people with Parkinson’s and their spouse, partner, carer to share conversation, experiences, friendship and refreshments provided by the host.
Branch Meetings.
These are larger sessions, held in a purpose built facility at Scotsdales Garden Centre Great Shelford. These meetings are attended by, usually, 50+ members. New Members are always welcome. We offer light refreshments on arrival, the opportunity to chat with other people with Parkinson’s. We usually have a speaker on a wide range of subjects. The meeting concludes with a lunch of sandwiches and soup. We have an information table with a selection of Parkinson’s UK documents.
There are no charges for our meetings nor is there a necessity to be a member or Parkinson’s UK although we will encourage you to join!
We request voluntary donations for refreshments.
